Lights. Camera. Take Action….

We’ve had a busy few weeks of community entertainment here at Bovey Paradiso, from National Theatre Live plays to line dancing, musical soirées to coffee mornings, as well as Open Days during whole town festival events. 

Already 56 people from our town and surrounding area have taken action and applied to join the 420+ existing member/shareholders by buying community shares in our multi-arts venue. Thank you one and all!

The Directors of Bovey Paradiso Arts have decided to extend the community shares application period until the end of the year, with the hope that enough funds can be raised from further investors to complete the next phase of Paradiso’s development. 

That next phase will double the amount of useable space at Paradiso - it will make it possible to open up the new main entrance so that the beautiful glass-roofed atrium can be entered direct. That area will be fully roofed. Teas, coffees, cakes, alcoholic drinks, snacks and full meals will be served in the light and airy space, in which small-scale workshops and events will also be performed - music, comedy, poetry, talks. The atrium then in turn will give direct access to the courtyard garden area and the auditorium which, while it will still need to be fitted-out, may then be useable to a limited extent.

We are extremely grateful for the support of new and existing member/shareholders. Will you join them? We need your help now to get us across the finish line. Please assist us to raise the money needed to move Paradiso this big step towards completion. It will be a fantastic community hub - a welcoming, creative space for everyone in the community.
