where is heaven?
When: Friday 13 February 2026
The Gallery @ Bovey Paradiso
Join us in February for our screening of where is heaven - a documentary about life off-grid in Devon and an awful lot more - “honest, Insightful and entertaining” Mark Kermode
Maverick soulmates Ged and Dave set out on a mission through the winding lanes and hidden tracks of North Devon, to record the lives and experiences of people living off grid.
Filmed over ten years, the film captures not only the beauty of the often-harsh environment, but also the spirit of the wonderfully diverse off-grid characters who inhabit it. Their stories, at first appear to be loose threads but quickly become an intricate weave of philosophies and vibrant wit, united by the common search for happiness.
The rich tapestry of personalities, stunning landscapes and the musical accompaniment of Cosmo Sheldrake combine to deliver the unique and extraordinary soul of where is heaven?
Electrically charged with a seductive power, this Off-Grid film is the perfect antidote to the intensity of life in the modern world.
