When: Thursday 02 April 2020

Church of St Peter, St Paul and St Thomas of Canterbury, Bovey Tracey

We have a great treat in store for 2020.  Ian Wellens of Cheese Shed and Nourish fame, has arranged a concert by Tasmin Little to take place at the Church of St Peter, St Paul and St Thomas of Canterbury, Bovey Tracey in support of Paradiso Arts.

The great British violinist recently announced that, after a long and exciting career, she would be retiring from the concert stage in the summer of 2020. We are delighted to announce that, as part of this farewell concert tour, she will be visiting Bovey Tracey.

The phrase ‘glittering career’ may be over-used but in Tasmin’s case no other description will do. For over thirty years she has appeared as a concerto soloist with all the world’s great orchestras and in all the top venues, releasing numerous highly-acclaimed albums which have brought her both critical praise and awards.

Small-scale recitals have been as much a part of her life as orchestral work, and she has built long-standing partnerships with pianists Piers Lane, Martin Roscoe and John Lenehan, who will appear with her in Bovey Tracey. The concert will include romantic pieces by Brahms, Strauss and Amy Beach alongside Lili Boulanger’s tender Nocturne and the performers’ own homage to Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake.

All proceeds from this concert will be donated to the Bovey Paradiso project.
