Bovey Tracey Paradiso Arts believes a Patron can help raise the organisation’s profile, help networking and influencing, and can help fundraising. The appointment will be mutually beneficial, to the Patron and to Paradiso Arts and the community.

Patrice Naiambana - Patron for Performing Arts

Patrice Naiambana apprenticed as an African Theatre Artist in Sierra Leone and Chapeltown, Leeds. As a professional actor he has worked extensively in theatre/film/radio/voice overs, learning from some of the UK's most innovative and brilliant Directors as Kwame Kwei-Armah, Steven Berkoff, Adrian Noble, Michael Boyd, Kathryn Hunter and from leading decolonial thinkers such Rolando Vasquez and Walter Mignolo.

As an Animateur and Community Arts Facilitator Patrice has been facilitating informal ensembles and Interdisciplinary Creativity for Community collaborations in Diverse Environments nationally and internationally since 1991. He is passionate about facilitating Drumming and Storytelling workshops for well being in community and educational settings. He has written and conceptualised Perception Gap, The Man Who Committed Thought, Edinburgh Fringe First Award Winner (with collaborator Ian Leonard), The Accused, GraveDiggers and The Gospel of Othello.

His recent screen credits (2020 to 2024) include Criminal Record, Damsel, Death in Paradise, The Baby, Game of Thrones, and It’s A Sin. Theatre includes Ragamuffin (Double Edge Theatre), Tree (Young Vic) Barbershop Chronicles (The National) The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives (Arcola Theatre/Femi Elufowoju Jnr Ensemble), Pericles (The Globe) played Aslan (432 times!) in The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe and Othello for The Royal Shakespeare Company and was a member of The RSC’s History Plays ( Olivier Award Best Ensemble).
