A sketchbook is essentially an artist’s gym, it's where you build the muscle memory for the bigger pieces.
We’ll be using rapid-fire techniques to break through "artist's block," layering mixed media, and learning how to use a sketchbook as a tool for pure, uninhibited exploration.
Forget perfect drawings or precious landscapes. This session is about turning your sketchbook into a high-energy laboratory for ideas, textures, and experimental marks. It’s the ultimate playground for beginners and intermediates to find their style without the pressure of a final canvas.
Each of our abstract workshops are stand-alone classes so don’t worry if you can’t attend every class or missed the first session. We will take you through the process of creating an abstract art painting and the processes involved. Along with inspiration and suggestions for further development and reading materials. Tea and coffee provided.
Aimed at: Beginner to intermediate level.
Materials: Materials are provided but you’re welcome to bring along anything you particularly want to use.
