Laughter on the Lawn
By: Su Kaye
Added: 23 August 2017
A wide selection of Bovey Tracey residents and those from further afield joined in the evening’s entertainment on Saturday 15th July at Ashwell.
Tony and Jeanette Pearce gave up their garden to an audience and performers for Laughter on the Lawn.
The Grand Bard of Exeter and recent winner of the Glastonbury Festival Poetry Slam 2017, Jackie Juno, recited thought provoking and humorous verse.
Julie Mullen had the audience eating out of her hand with her fruity poetry and saxophone accompaniment, and Sapphire captivated the crowd with her mellifluous voice and guitar.
Over £700 was raised for Bovey Paradiso through ticket and refreshment sales.
Thank you to all who joined us for the first of many events.
