The Ballad of Wallis Island follows Charles (Tim Key), an eccentric lottery winner who lives alone on a remote island and dreams of getting his favourite musicians, Mortimer-McGwyer (Carey Mulligan and Tom Basden) back together. His fantasy quickly turns into reality when the bandmates and former lovers accept his invitation to play a private show at his home on Wallis Island. Old tensions resurface as Charles tries desperately to salvage his dream gig.

We will have three screenings, a matinee and evening performance (without subtitles) on the Friday 12th December and a screening with subtitles on Saturday 13th December.

For the evening performances the doors at the Gallery will open at 18.45 with the film starting at 19.30. For the matinee doors open at 13:45 and starts at 14:30. Drinks (licensed bar) and light snacks will be available to purchase. There will be an intermission for refreshments and leg stretching.
We recommend that you park at the Mary Street car park, a short 5 minute walk and free after 6pm.
