Big investment from Big Society Capital

We are delighted to announce that Big Society Capital has invested £100,000 in shares (repayable in 2027) in the Bovey Paradiso project.

Big Society Capital was established to improve the lives of people in the UK by connecting investment to charities and social enterprises that are creating social change.  The conditions for Bovey Paradiso to achieve this investment from their Crowd Match Fund were:

• having our share offer approved for the Standard Mark (which says that the documentation is honest and fair to investors);
• having the shares marketed by Ethex; and
• having raised over £100,000 of SITR-eligible investment.

This brings the total invested so far in the Bovey Paradiso project to over £416,000 including the £100,000. We would still like to raise another £84,000 by the end of February when the share offer will close.

Investors in Bovey Paradiso benefit from SITR – Social Investment Tax Relief – which means that they receive 30% tax relief on their investment. The shares are expected to pay 3% per year interest, which when tax relief is taken into account, means a return of 4.3% interest.
